Fresh Peach Daiquiris: Simple Summer Cocktail Recipe

Daiquiris made with fresh summer peaches can be prepared with rum or swapped for water to make a non-alcoholic version. This refreshing drink is perfect for slow summer evenings — life tastes better with a peach daiquiri in hand.

Last summer, while pregnant with Mackenzie, we vacationed in Myrtle Beach. I bought a bag of peaches at the store and they were unbelievably good. I polished off that bag in two days — maybe I shared, maybe not. We went through several bags on that trip. Adam teased me about craving peaches, and I was in denial, insisting I just liked them — even as I ate peach after peach.

Peach Daiquiris

The peach craving was real. I ate peaches all summer and enjoyed these peach daiquiris, often made without alcohol during pregnancy — water stood in for rum and they were still delicious. Now that I have two young children and no immediate plans for more, I’m enjoying the rum version again. Whether you choose alcohol or not, these daiquiris celebrate ripe summer peaches.

These daiquiris work so well without alcohol because the peach is the star. Substituting water for rum highlights the fresh peach flavor, so the key is to use ripe, fresh peaches. Frozen peaches won’t deliver the same bright, juicy taste.

This recipe has been in my family for years — it’s my grandmother’s, and my mom used to make non-alcoholic versions when we brought home peaches from the orchard. I still make batches for the kids first, then blend the adult versions. They’re an ideal summer beverage when peaches are at their peak.

Make them with rum for a classic cocktail or use water for a refreshing, family-friendly drink. Either way, they’re simple to prepare and wonderfully flavorful. Enjoy!
